I had mixed feelings about my stay. While the hotel itself was clean, modern, and generally pleasant, the handling of my reservation caused significant disappointment.nnDespite receiving two separate confirmation emails for my booking, I was not notified of any cancellation or issue in advance. When I arrived and explained the situation, the stay was reinstated, but I was required to pay the full amount again, with no compensation or coverage for the inconvenience. This was stressful and felt unfair, especially given that I arrived with valid confirmations.nnThe room was clean and comfortable, but there were a couple of practical issues worth mentioning. There was no fridge in the room, which would have been helpful even for a short stay. Additionally, although the bathroom itself was modern and nice, the shower area lacked proper coverage, causing water to splash across the entire bathroom floor. I had to use extra towels just to keep the floor dry.nnOverall, the hotel has good potential and is aesthetically pleasing, but communication and guest handling during booking issues need serious improvement. With better coordination and attention to practical details, the experience could be much better.
We rolled into Stockholm on an overnight train with three kids 11, 9, and 4, the adventurous side of travel meets the reality of sleep debt. That’s when we met our angel at reception. We’d asked for early check-in not guaranteed, and she somehow had our room ready at 11:00. Then I realised I’d booked the wrong category: a 4-person room instead of the 6-person room that made me choose this hotel in the first place.nnWithout any fuss, she rebooked us into what turned out to be the best room 601, and it was available immediately. Two bedrooms, two showers, a huge balcony, and a Stockholm view that does the whole “wow” thing, exactly what a tired family needs after a night train.nnService was the standout: proactive, professional, and genuinely kind. Scandic Go is a smart, no-frills base, clean, quiet, and efficient, but the hospitality here punches above its weight. For families using Stockholm as a hop on an Interrail itinerary, room 601 is a gem. We left rested, recharged, and very grateful. Highly recommend.
Great hotel!! It has a modern atmosphere. The bed is super comfortable, with enough space in. The room for a suitcase and move around. Also good amenities such as a locker and laundry place. There is no noise around. Staff is friendly. 2 blocks from a metro station and bus station. 20 min away from old town. With the 72hour metro day card is excellent. There are 2 grocery stores close by and many restaurants. Highly recommend. Price is also acceptable for the quality considering Stockholm is an expensive city. We also had a great view :
An affordable Hotel that sacrifices little at that. It has a 24-Hour reception. Most notable to us was the friendliness of the Staff - Regardless of the hour!nOur room was nicely spaced, but the AC didn't make much of an impact to cool it down a bit. That complaint aside, it was very comfortable and central.nIt is quite the walk from the central station, but we didn't mind.
Rooms are the perfect size and staff are the nicest. It is also located really close to metro stations so you can move easily. There are a bunch of restaurants and cafeterias around so you have all you need close by. Only downside is housekeeping service isn't included, you have to pay for it.
