We stayed here for one night at the weekend for my partner's 40th birthday, and staff were so helpful and kind.nnI emailed in advance to ask if they could do anything to make it nice for him, and they went above and beyond. I received a response instsntly. Upon arrival, my fiancé was given a room upgrade and there was a card with snacks for him in the room to surprise him. Thank you so much for organising this!nnThe room itself was great. Large comfy bed, with balcony that overlooked the river. The view was so pretty!nnThe breakfast was good, with lots of options and constantly topped up with fresh foods.nnLocation - the hotel is a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and bars. And next to plenty of other sight seeing opportunities.nnHalmstad itself is fun and friendly, with plenty of things to do, see, eat and shop!nnWe'll definitely be back to the Scandic. It was great!
A little run down but the ok standard. The room was clean and so was the bath. Our room was in a separate building and we had to go outside to get there. Very good breakfast. The bartender did not know how to mix drinks, but she was open with it but it was a surprise to us...
Showing its age.nFelt more like being in a hostel than hotel.nWe had booked a room for 3 but the 3rd bed pull out couch was not made and we were expected to do it ourselves - which is no big deal, but again they were the ONLY hotel in the 10 or so hotels we stayed at doing our Swedish roadtrip where that was the case.nGet to breakfast early, as products run out quickly and are not replenished as efficiently. If at all. Very limited parking, and none available for us, we had to park across the main heavily trafficatedroad , a couple of 100m’s away.nnLocation is however great!nnFor a 100sek or so more I would have much preferred staying in a better hotelnThe least value for money option we had during our vacation.
A wandering cat can always find a home. This was a great one.nWordsmiths are sparing in their trade. A chess set and wall clocks were missing, otherwise top marks in many languages.nIt takes someone literally spitting blood for science to truly appreciate this place.
Best gym in town for biz trips. Breakfast, gym, and relax is great. This hotel gym has all what you need for a good workout
