We recently stayed at Scandic Hotel for four nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is very nice, and the location is excellent convenient and easy to reach. One of the highlights was the spacious parking garage, which easily accommodated our large car. It was such a relief not to struggle with tight basement parking, as is often the case in many hotels.nnThe room was also quite spacious and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities like an ironing stand ,a small touch that made a big difference. The only downside was the cleaning policy. We didn’t realize that guests need to inform the reception if they want the room cleaned, so our room wasn’t serviced automatically during our stay. Once we mentioned it, the issue was addressed, but it would have been helpful to know this in advance.nnOverall, it’s a lovely hotel with great facilities and a comfortable atmosphere, just keep in mind to request housekeeping if you’re staying for more than a night.
We stayed at Scandic for 4 nights during a family holiday and had a truly memorable experience.nnA few hours after checking out, I realized I had left my wedding ring in our room. I called the hotel around 2 PM, and the receptionist kindly explained that lost items are stored in the Lost & Found locker for about three months. She promised to notify the housekeeping manager who manages lost items.nnThe next morning, I followed up and spoke with the housekeeping manager, Jamal I hope I’ve spelled his name correctly who had been unwell the day before but was now on the case. I described the ring and where I’d last seen it. Less than ten minutes later, Jamal called back—he had found it!nWe returned to the hotel to retrieve it, and a staff member handed me the ring—intact and perfect. We’re deeply grateful for the team’s honesty.nnBeyond that, our stay was lovely. We booked a Family Four Standard Kitchenette, which was cleana and tidy. No weird odor in our room or hallways. The laundry facilities were easy to use, and both check-in and check-out were smooth.nnBreakfast was good, though the menu remained the same throughout our stay. A long-haired lady in the kitchen greeted us each morning, chatted with our daughter, and even helped with my coffee to go.nnThe reception staff were consistently welcoming. We were offered welcome drinks hot tea for us, juice for our daughter. Complimentary marshmallows at reception and a Kids Quiz on the lobby wall were our daughter’s favorites.nnWe’ll definitely return!
Centrally located hotel in the city centre. Unfortunately the room was not ready at check-in time. The receptionist told us to take a seat, he would be with us in about 15 minutes. Then nothing happened for an hour. When asked, he agreed to check again whether the room was ready. In total, the room was available an hour and 45 minutes after check-in time. The reason given was that the cleaning was ‘a little’ behind schedule. The active information provided to guests and the way in which this is handled could clearly be improved.
All interactions with hotel employees was exclusively positive. We got a huge kitchenette room, right in the middle of malmø, for same price we paid for a tiny room in the outskirts of copenhagen the previous day. For a family of 4, living spaciously for a day was a very welcome change.
Really liked our stay, the only annoying thing is we asked if we could have rooms close to each other and ended up very far from each other but that’s how it is sometimes.nBreakfast was great but can be hard to find seats when busy, but food was great, rooms were a good size with nice beds
