Really convenient location , check in was quick and easy. Our room was on the 16th floor , clean and well presented with gorgeous views of Malmö. Reception had a small store where local treats or necessities could be purchased and staff were friendly and helpful. We usually stay around Malmö C but will definitely be back to Scandic Triangeln going forward.
The hotel’s location and the staff’s general attitude are very good, which explains many of the positive reviews.nnHowever, the cleanliness did not meet the expectations of a four-star hotel. The room was only superficially cleaned. Besides a piece of chewing gum under a small table, there were food remnants noodles/dried pasta under the desk, a snus can and a bag of chips under the bed, and a raisin in the corner of the room. This indicates a lack of thorough cleaning.nnIn the elevator, an energy drink can was present from the first day, later joined by a half-eaten apple, and both remained there for some time.nnThe breakfast was very basic, lacked variety, and did not reflect four-star standards.nThere were also no services for children, such as a playroom, special welcome, or any small gesture for young guests.nnAdditionally, the gym was closed or unavailable on one day of the stay without explanation.nnThe hotel has the potential to offer a much better overall experience.
The rooms are nice and the views are cool with big windows. Close to everything in town. The breakfast is good and feels fresh nothing unique though.nnThe only bad thing is the TV's it is not possible to cast or use streaming apps on them.
Be careful with what they charge you! Online web confirmation on Scandic web and what was charged is different by over 1000 SEK! I think I was overcharged because of an error with them applying a member rate on two rooms we booked. I’ve tried to get them to explain why things don’t match from web to email to final bill and they keep blaming currency exchange even tho the room rates don’t match. It took 10 emails to get a manager to respond and since then silence from them, still no legitimate explanation. Really irresponsible. They also charged me currency difference for a room we cancelled 3 months ago because they processed it day later. They are doing some weird things with payments moving payments on the day even tho rooms were prepaid. They said they would refund that charge and they didn’t. Overall bad experience and wouldn’t recommend anymore.nnEdit: It’s been over two months since last communication where they promised to refund some parts and nothing was refunded or properly explained. Great location, massive room. Did not have a fridge but everything else was there with lots of extra room, sheets were clean and smelled nice. Breakfast was very good. Includes many options both warm and cold and vegetarian, highly recommend. Wasn’t overly expensive
