St Lars church

Johannes Olivengren's first work.nÅnIt really is a nice whole, with nature all around and really nice extended parish premises.nnIt feels like a living church and parish, but the church hall itself does not have the same nice atmosphere as many of the others. Whether this is because everything has been painted white, the fixtures and altars have been replaced, or whether it is simply a first work is hard to say.

St. Lars Church is Olivengren's first church with which he won the architectural competition. You can see that it is more simple in its design compared to the later churches built. Here, several parts of the church have been built and the oldest part has been renovated. The luminaire from the church room has been moved to the newer part and modern lighting has been installed in the church hall, both on the walls and ceiling. The original round altar has been moved and a new one has been built with a panel on it. The entire church has been repainted in white, I suspect. A neat and beautiful little church with altar windows in 50s colors.

Sankt Lars church in Åsa Halland is a church from the 1950s. The church has a beautiful open wooden belfry. The church is located on a hill and the belfry is located down the hill next to the parking lot. Next to the church is the parish hall.
