Tanum Sushi & Thai Mat

We ate our dinner here on two lovely summer evenings during our holiday visiting the world famous Tanum Hällristenings. We got honest, freshly cooked meals, with no worries about anything artificial being added. It's s very busy place, we noticed that apparently lot's of customers ordered food for pick up. You can sit inside or outside, outside with the company of the sea gulls hoping for leftovers, lol. Tanum Sushi & Thai Mat is a very small restaurant and the opposite of 'fancy.' But that doesn't matter, what's important is that their food tastes good!nnI didn't like everything in my Poke bowl, but that's a 'me' problem. I saw a Swedish boy demolish his Poke bowl on the other evening in record time, so apparently he loved it!nnThe portions are all quite large, as far as we could see, in our humble opinion.nnI would've liked it if they offered more vegetarian options, for example the fried rice with more vegetables and scrambled egg, but without the beef and chicken meat, maybe a few pieces of fried tofu instead? and a smaller portion to choose from if the customer isn't so hungry, although maybe they do, but we couldn't figure it out when trying to understand their menu in Swedish? and if they had one menu in English for us stupid tourists...

Don't deceived by the looks and head in.nnReally nice food, everything tasted great, big portions.nIf you are heading north or south and feel abit hungry outside Tanum you are well of skipping Burger King and head for this little gem.

Really excellent and tasty food. I had the green Thai curry beef and it was amazingly creamy and well seasoned. The food was clearly made with love, but there was very little seating and no customer restroom. It's more set up for takeout than a sit down dinner, but the staff is clearly friendly and did their best to serve.
