Thai Ja Smögen

We saw the good reviews and had lunch here today. This restaurant is just near to the smögen bus stop.nnWe ate no19 chicken with bamboo shoots and veggies and no26 i guess meat with onion and herbs.nBoth were served with rice.nWe liked both the dishes. They were very different in taste and delicious with rice.nThe food is very flavourful.nYou can taste the sourness and freshness of the dish as it should be in actual thai food.nnWherever i have eaten thai food in sweden, they are mostly sweet.. but this restaurant was far from that.. here both the dishes we had ordered were very well balanced with sour and umami flavours.. and loaded with herbs. You can taste different herbs, spices, lemon grass and lemon in the dishes.nnPrice wise it is reasonable. We paid something around 300sek for 2dishes and a coke.nnI would definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch.. especially if you like flavourful brothy or soupy like dishes with white rice.nnBut if your concept of thai food is just lots of sweet soy sauce then this isn’t the right place for you.

I’m Thai and must say this is real Thai foods with authentic taste.nOwner and chef is Thai and they are really super nice .nI really enjoy the foods here , the taste made me miss my hometown.nIngredients is super fresh, seasoning soooo goood.nI’m super very happy to eat here and want to visit again for 10000% if having a chance.

It is a perfect combination between Thai foods and Smögen vibes! Highly recommend to try special menu and salads which are absolutely authentic as you can find in Thailand!

We visited here for late lunch, we ordered number 2 and 28. Food had great value and size, quality was great with a great taste. And the staff were super friendly. Also amazing coffee.
