Story

Tess An’na Jess is an eclectic all-female jazz trio based in Stockholm, Sweden. The group is composed of: award-winning Iclandic pianist Anna-Gréta Sigurđardóttir, who has toured all over Scandinavia with notable jazz ensembles such as the Norrbotten Big Band, New Places Orchestra and Sweden’s own Håkan Broström. Norwegian violinist Terese Lien Evenstad has been heard on Sweden’s jazz scene with the celebrated Gustav Lundgren, Frank Vignola, Isabella Lundgren and many others. Jessica Curran is a vocalist from the United States She has toured over her own country and has made advances through Europe. Her fellow performers have included Bobby McFerrin, Ben Folds and some of Sweden’s top names.
The trio performs tunes ranging from classic jazz standards from the 1930s, to current day covers by Joni Mitchell, Cyrille Aimée, and the Beatles. All three ladies write and collaborate to create a unique set of originally composed music. Currently, they reside in Sweden, have studied at the Royal College of Music in Sweden to obtain their Bachelor’s in jazz performance, and are working on numerous projects spanning the globe.
