Tommarps kloster

Tommarp Monastery was a monastery of the Premonstratensian Order. The monastery was founded by Bishop Eskil in 1155 and had great importance for the surrounding area during the early Middle Ages. During the Reformation, the monastery was left in ruins. In 2005, ahead of the monastery's 850th anniversary, archaeological excavations were started at the site under the leadership of archaeologists Lars Jönsson and Ulrika Wallebom. They had, among others, amateur archaeologists from all over the country to help them.

Garden grounds okay, church and small museum closed, as is unfortunately often the case in Sweden.

Interesting historically, but you could do so much, for example, together with the Church of Sweden.

Not much to look at.
