Värmlands Museum

An ambitious and mainly well-designed museum with all info in the historical exhibition in both Swedish and English where a few too many spelling errors, missing props, technical issues, and vandalised signs lessen the visitor's experience. Also far, far too cold in the exhibition halls historical artifacts may require it I guess, but why in a photo display?. Good taste in exhibition material, though.

There are some art work by artists and impressive thing is each artist has his or her own place to show or exhibit what he likes to. Also museum has some clues about how life starts in karlstad.

Great small art museum with a permanent collection about life and artists from the region, however during my visit they had a retrospective of Jāzeps Grosvald's fascinating life drawing in the midst of WWII and an excellent exhibit of modern artist Kristina Jansson whose work was stunning.

They should have had more about Karlstad history, I think the art museum was boring. Lars Lerin is far better

Nice museum with very different things to see and do for kids, go to the second floor. Library closed for maintenance 19 aug 2021. Clean toilets. Free lockers. Nice museumshop en good restaurant. Visit will take between 2 and 3 hours. Entry free of charge for people younger then 25 years.
