It was great, you can enter most of the exhibits. The Monica Zetterlund museum is also there. Visit the website to find more info. 100 SEK per adult to enter & free for kids. You can hire the track cycles...dressingen to ride a 6km rail track & back 12km in total at set times.
Visited with Mrs. and our 2year old. Interested place with a sad story, this is a memory of a past time when the town was growing, people moving to the town and job was available. People could take the train from here to Karlstad for one example, today that is not possible. People have emigrated from the town in search of a better job and life.nnAll tho I strongly encourage you to visit this town and the museum, it's a beautiful town with lovely nature and at the museum you can take a trip with their jigger to explore more of the town and nature on a 6km 37miles long railway one way.nnOur 2year old had a great time here exploring the different locomotives and vehicles, even looking at the big mini town with railway beside the cafeteria.
The trailbiking was really fun! The nature is beautifull and there is a cozy café at the end.
The museum is small but cosy. The staff is very nice, and the small cafe has good coffee/tea and kannelbullar cinnamon bun. But the best part is the trolley ride. It takes about 2 hours in total and this is with stops to take pictures and a small break. The nature was beautiful and the two hours only felt like 1 hour. Just amazing.
Had a great time here. I'd suggested a visit, but was met with resistance from my 13 and 15 year old. Once we got there, though, we all enjoyed getting on all the trains and looking around them. The highlight though was the bikes. You ride about 6km along the railway track on a customised bike. It takes in some lovely sights along the way with some really nice places to stop for a drink. If you get offered buns by tye staff there for your ride, have them. They were delicious.
