It was hard to choose with so many delicious options, but every dessert I tried was absolutely fantastic. This café is absolutely beautiful, both indoors and outdoors. However, everything depends on the weather – if it’s rainy or windy, sitting outside isn’t really possible. Most of the service is self-service, but some dishes are brought directly to your table. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the desserts are delicious. If you’re afraid of birds, I wouldn’t recommend sitting outdoors.

Fantastic place for coffee and cake. Everything was such a delight. Charming decor, delicious cakes, spotlessly clean and with super friendly, lovely staff. We got there early so didn’t have to wait and had a choice of tables, but I expect it gets busy. A real treat for Vaxholm.

Vaxholms Hembygdsgårds Café is absolutely charming! The location by the water is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a coffee or meal with a view. The cakes and pastries are homemade, fresh, and delicious—especially the famous cakes, which are worth the trip alone. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff that make you feel right at home. A must-visit when in Vaxholm!

This was an excellent discovery!nEvery aspect of this cafe is excellent.nnI had an outstanding dessert that I have no idea what it’s called. It was something new. The cappuccino was very good too.nnThe seating area is like a garden on the shore. Absolutely gorgeous!nnThe service is excellent. I honestly was stunned by the beauty of the front female staff! This is an extra bonus for coming here!nnHighly recommended!
