Very sad that this beautiful runestone has been left in decay
Difficult to see the inscriptions. You can see a cross and glimpse some runes. Beautiful surroundings.
The Vismarlöv stone was found in 1624 in a stone fenced yard near the western yard in the village of Vismarlöv, today it stands at the edge of a field south of Vissmarlöv's village street. The original location of the stone is unknown, but it is assumed that it stood to the west of the village, in an area with ancient remains. According to Ole Worm 1624, people in the area told us that the cross is the sign of Dalby Abbey and that the deer indicates the king's right to hunt.
Well, nothing wrong with the stone but I am still surprised to read that it is considered a tourist destination.
Pale experience. Very faintly, you can possibly see some jack that should represent runes.
