Nice experience. It was our very first time in Norway. We were looking for local seafood and this option was amazing! We tried the “fish and chips” and it was super fresh and crispy, not a single one complain for this dish. We also tried the “Shellfish Symphony” but the very best on this dish was the Mussels, we asked them spicy and Oh my gosh!! It was from the other world, simply delicious. We really enjoyed our visit here. The only con: they gave us the wrong bill twice.
It was with the visit! The food was excellent and the staff was very professional! we had fish and chips amazing!! and Norwegian Wild Salmon. Only downside is cost to park and cost of meal is very expensive!!!Mat: 5/5
Fjellskål Market knowledge staff at the well stocked fish and cheese counters. Generous samples, explanations, recommendations. Any seafood can be selected at the counter for restaurant main. Dined several times without reservations-recommend making them. Had the fresh monk and halibut, friend prefers shellfish, oysters, famous blue lobster. Friendly and quick service, was one of our favorite restos in Bergen.
They have a store here that sells a wide variety of cheeses, including Fanoast, their world champion cheese and the famous brown cheese that you can only find in this country. The lady was knowledgeable about her selections, and allowed us to try various cheeses, and we ended up buying around 3000 krone as a group. They also have several types of caviar, with some going for a little as around 80 krone.
We came here for new years eve dinner and had a really lovely and delicious meal. Fresh and tasty seafood and great wine selection. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Although pricey but you get so much food for the seafood platter it was really worth it especially for a special occasion treat! Only 4 stars for atmosphere as we didn't manage to get a table outside and the ones inside are a bit noisy. But still overall a great experience : Thank you to the staff for a lovely time!
Beautiful views , excellent service but the food was subpar. King crab is a delicacy and should be eaten at its raw form. Take a closer look at the crab- it’s over steamed. It falls apart when you pick it up. Whoever steamed this needs to apologize to the king crab. It sadly died in vein. Also, the octopus taste like a yuzu bottle from a supermarket
The food served were amazing.a Service is impeccable. More importantly, we would like to give thanks to Kathryn and her Team for making the experience at Fjellskål a warm, memorable and unforgettable one. Mat: 5/5
High quality sea food with views across the harbour. The restaurant features its own fish supply shop with a incredible variety of seafood including whale. The small size serves were generous as a full meal, while the large serves can be shared by 2 persons. We shared fish soup and mussels.Mat: 5/5
Har vert her flere ganger og fått nydelig mat og høy service. De har også et stort og spennende vinkart. For å pirke syntes jeg prisene er noe stive. Det finnes restauranter i Bergen med minst like god kvalitet til lavere pris.Mat: 4/5
