If you are visiting the park as a tourist, I suggest book a tour with Oslo Guidebureau. Richard the guide was so good that the park made sense as we were told the story about every piece of art there is
A must see when visiting Oslo. Tranquil park with beautiful statues in various strange poses. Take your time to walk around and observe the details of the statues. No entrance fee to pay, just roam around for free!Besøkte stedetPå en helgedagVentetidIngen ventetid
Nice and huge park, a must visit during winter if you like winter wonderlands. The thing that ruined the experience a bit for me was the presence of too many dogs not on leash that were peeing and pooping everywhere. There should be stricter rules on cleanliness for dog owners
Winter transformed Oslo's sculpture park into a magical wonderland. Snow adorned the sculptures, turning them into glistening masterpieces. The serene white landscape enhanced the artistic allure, creating a serene ambiance. Braving the cold, I discovered a unique beauty, where art and winter collaborated to craft an enchanting and tranquil atmosphere.
This is a must see if you are in Oslo. I am not really a sculpture fan but the ark is home to the most amazing collection of human studies. Your approach to the central obelisk if thats the right description is lined with stidies of the human form. I noticed a pattern, but i might be wrong, so don’t be led by this… It looks like the statues take you through stages of life - childhood, youth, parent and grandparents. Either way - the whole place is totally amazing. We went in the winter February so it might be very busy in the summer. You’ll see from my photos though that you shouldn’t be frightened off by the cold or snow. I think it added to the experience.
A large park with some of the most unique sculptures. Each and every one of them tells a story, if you look close enough!
Absolutely gorgeous park. I came here on a chilly day in autumn and had a wonderful time wandering the park among the statues and flowers. It's beautifully designed, with lots of little areas to sit and relax. I read for a little on a bench in a nook until my hands got too cold. The sculptures are so expressive and very interesting to look at. It seems like the perfect place to visit on a sunny day for a picnic.
Absolutely beautiful park that’s easily accessible via public transport. The park itself is very large, relaxing, and peaceful. Highly recommended to everyone.Besøkte stedetPå en ukedagVentetidIngen ventetidForhåndsbestilling anbefalesNei
Beautiful beautiful beautiful park. Must visit in Oslo. Park is too big and easily reachable by tram. It has multiple entries and exit. Some of the small cafe also available. It is mostly wheel chair friendly and plenty of sitting area for picnic. The statues are just out of this world. You can not compare the beauty with any other park. There is some museum also you can visit where do you see more statues. I would recommend 2-3 hours minimum spend here to explore everything. It is always crowded so pick your timing accordingly. It is free to visit the park.
