If you’re looking to splurge for a meal in Bergen, this is your spot. The menu seems to be seasonal with three choices for starter main and dessert or you can opt for a tasting menu that lets you sample all the starters and desserts. Everything we ordered was executed beautifully. Bacon ravioli came bathed in a sauce that we literally picked up the bowl to finish. Lamb pate was also delicious and well-balanced. The veal was cooked beautifully, and the cod dish was probably the highlight of the meal. At this point despite the fact that we’d been having cod at every meal we still savored every bite. The kale chips and the gnocchi on the side were delightfully crisp and the perfect complement. The ambiance is intimate and cozy. Our only knock is that the dishes took a bit longer than expected to come out. But I think that speaks to the care and effort they put into the preparation. If you’re going to have one nice meal in Bergen, make this the one. And definitely make a reservation because we saw some people come in only to get turned away because the place was totally booked out.
Phenomenal. Every single dish was delicious, but the ones that we found the most memorable were definitely the mains. Their classic veal dish is a must-try and the fish catch of the day was also excellent. This place is 100% a strong recommend if you are in town. Get a reservation because it is absolutely worth it. Attentive service too.
A really solid dinner. We got the crab starter, and the veal and fish main courses. The standout was definitely the veal. We made a reservation that day and were glad that we did, as the restaurant was getting extremely busy when we left around 830pm on a Monday night. Not mind-blowing flavours, but an enjoyable dinner nonethelessMat: 4/5
Must eat here if you are in Bergen and want local cuisine. Very friendly knowledgable staff and reasonable prices for Norway. It was so good we went twice!Mat: 5/5
Awesome starters — loved the crab ravioli and goat pâté. Was probably full enough to go without a main. I wasn’t a fan of the veal, but the cod and kale chips were awesome. Don’t do the tasting menu — each person will just get their own plate of veal that way. The tables were really close together and the people beside us were coughing up a storm, so I was a bit worried about getting sick. Will find out in a day or so whether my immune system holds up!
A beautiful dinner and experience was held here. We searched for a dinner spot that was away from the tourists and we found it. Ask for recommendations on cider to pair with your meal. This place is worth it!Mat: 5/5
A lovely bistro style restaurant with a small, but excellent menu, reasonably priced considering how generally expensive Norway is. We only had two mains which were both amazing, I wish we weren't in such a hurry as we would definitely of liked to try some starters and desserts. Really friendly staff and got a check back on our food which is always a nice touch 10/10 would recommend for anyone in or around the area.
Really enjoyed this more-traditional Norwegian restaurant. Small and quant space. I especially liked the local Norwegian wines and ciders including an apple ice wine which was delicious and unique. Great introduction to Norwegian food!Mat: 5/5
Very cute spot and great service - food was pretty good but not outstanding. Dessert was best part!Mat: 4/5
The starter mackerel was delicious. The best mackerel I’ve ever had in my life. The veal for the main course was nice as well, served with lots of fresh and uncommon vegetables. However, I tasted my friend’s main course, fresh catch of fish, and I think the fish was a little too salty. My friend and I didn’t enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the starter. Despite being so, the restaurant was still a great place for dinner. Waitresses were friendly and gave detailed instructions to every dish. All dishes were plated beautifully as well.
