I honestly thought this will be a tourist trap because of its very central location but we gave it a try. And when in Bergen, you eat seafood! And seafood it was we ate! Very fresh seafood, I devoured every single bite I took! It was definitely one of the best lunches I have had. I enjoyed the oysters and the king crab for sure! Thank you!

This was a great lunch spot. My wife and I both had the fish. We also started with a local cheese tray which was also a treat. The menu had wine pairings and that was a big help. Excellent all around!  I dropped one star as the total bill for two was about 1,300 NOK or $121.00. But that’s the going rate for this town.Mat: 5/5

Dining with views of the harbor is a must. Had the salmon and chocolate fondant dessert. Both were amazing, the salmon was a large perfectly cooked portion. A great meal after walking Bergen all day. The sunset just outside after dinner was the best nightcap. The attached market is worth a gander.Mat: 5/5

We came here for dinner and it was generally good.  Options are many and varied, from king and snow crab to prawns and salmon and other fish.  It was quite disappointing that after we ordered three portions of Norwegian oysters, they returned with three portions of French oysters, saying they ran out of the Norwegian. The waiter promised a discount but that was not reflected in the final bill till we reminded him.  The shellfish soup was just okay, but could have been much better.  It was a little on the starchy side.  For the cod fish, there was a missed opportunity, especially at this price point. The fish was fresh but would have been better grilled, especially with the skin.  As it was steamed/baked, it was actually quite bland.  The pine nuts were nice but the green pea puree was overly sweet. The grilled potatoes were nice.  The king and snow crab were okay buy not as expected.  We had better in Tromso.  Service was friendly and our waiter helped to get some soy sauce and wasabe.

During my visit to Bergen, I dined at Fish Me in the Fisketorget, and it was unforgettable. The restaurant's location in the bustling fish market offered a stunning view of the fjord, with boats in the harbor and the majestic mountains in the background.  The food was spectacular. Dining at Fish Me, with its exquisite seafood and breathtaking fjord views, made for a truly memorable experience in Bergen.

We were recommended during our visit to Bergen to have the fish soup. I requested gluten free and the obliged with delicious gluten free bread with melted butter. My wife had the vegetarian pasta which she enjoyed. The view is amazing.  Note: ask the server for gluten free options as the fish soup had allergen 1 Grain /Gluten and 1A Wheat which turned out to be the bread.

Located in the heart of the historic district, Fish Me offers a prime spot with a beautiful view. As a strongly tourist-oriented restaurant, it caters well to the needs of visitors, which can be a plus for those looking to explore local cuisine in a convenient setting.  I tried the whale steak, which I would rate 3.5 out of 5. While it was a unique experience, I've had better and more affordable meals elsewhere in Norway. Overall, Fish Me is worth a visit for its location and the chance to try something different, but there may be better options if you're seeking exceptional food at a lower price.

Right by the water you have thus amazing market with fresh, local fish.  You have two eating options. The takeaway cold snack/hot drinks or the restaurant 3 big areas, with big glass windows to enjoy the views of bergen and bryggen.  The same menu is on the 3 big areas and is full of amazing things not just fish: meat/veggie options.. sushi pasta etc.  We both had fish which was cooked to perfection and incredibly fresh! Absolutely excellent.  Also fish is available to take away and cook at home!  Price is not too bad either.  Not the highest and not the lowest either.  Staff are nice, place is comfortable- easy 5 stars

Atmosphere was great, right at the port. The service was partly unkind but I think everything was good in the end. Good food! Salmon and fish&chips were perfect!Mat: 5/5
