The Thief was our first stop in our honeymoon. If the rest of our hotel experiences are like this one then we’ll be extremely happy with our accommodations throughout the trip. It was sleek, comfortable, welcoming, and great food. Rom: The view from our room was excellent and the shades were extremely effective in keeping the room dark during the bright early mornings. My only critique is that the AC only went to 23 c / 73 f. Fremkommelighet til fots: Extremely pleasant, quiet walking paths along the waterfront. Several restaurants very close by and a place for people to swim in the summer time. Mat og drikke: We had a tasting menu experience as a part of our room cost and it was incredible. Best meal of our vacation.
This was the best place I have ever stayed at. The hotel staff are just so nice and very accommodating. The spa is beautiful and the massages are fantastic. They will order you a taxi if needed. The most important part for me was that I wasn’t feeling well but I had a 5 course dinner reserved. The restaurant was also very accommodating. They sent each course of the meal to my room and I couldn’t have been anymore grateful. If you are looking for an affordable but very luxurious place to stay you have found your place. It is worth every kroner
The service at the restaurant is close to a disaster. I went here for lunch. The waiting time for the fish soup was crazy long. Then, when it finally arrives there is zero in it! No fish, no nothing, just the soup base! I let them know, and they act surprised that I want a new soup but say a mistake has been made but without an apology. I had started on the soup of course as that´s how I found out there was nothing in it. I get the new correct one, I give the soup base to a friend of mine and ask for some bread. I end up with bill, where they have charged 85,- kroners for BREAD. That´s around 8 dollars for just bread. And you would think they would be service minded enough to at least give bread for free when I got a soup with a huge mistake. Not only that they added "but you gave the soup with the mistake to your friend, so you kind of got two soups". Like WHAT. I have traveled all over the world. Never have I gotten a soup with nothing in it. And never have I waited that long for soup. And never have I gotten such rude service on top of it. They cut the bread from bill only after had to argue about it, but to be fear, they should have cut the whole soup in total. With that type of mistake and waiting time, you simply give the soup to the customer free of charge. Really surprised with how bad the service is at what is to be a 5-start hotel.
Veldig fint sted og kjempe god service. Eneste å bemerke var rommet. Stilen og løsningene på rommet var gode og veldig high class, men det manglet lys på rommet så var litt mørkt en spotter som ikke fungerte. Kunne kun slå av og på lysene. Ikke mulig å dimme opp eller ned. Så ut som det var sølt champagne på knappene og knaggen man henger jakker på var ødelagt. Sa ifra til resepsjonen og dem var super hyggelige og sa de skulle se om vi kunne bytte rom, men rommet de ville bytte til så litt mindre så vi bare valgte å være på samme rom vi fikk på førsten. Servicen i baren var super bra, men reagerte litt på at man kun kunne kjøpe 1 drink om gangen. Man måtte drikke den opp også kjøpe ny. Første gang jeg har vært borti det. Uansett er det bare små detaljer, men alt i alt. Supert fint sted med god frokost, god service og fine room. For en super fin løsning og style med badet!
Could not have been happier with our stay at the Theif. Everything was perfect. The staff were over the top friendly. The location is perfectly located and within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. Bonus, we got admission to the museum next door and a 50% off gift card for Louise restaurant. The meal was outstanding and just a short walk from the hotel. Highly recommend. Interessante detaljer: Breakfast was outstanding.
Booked a spa and brunch package a few months ago. The spa was pretty limited, with a few saunas and a pool. The pool area was pretty cold and so was the water inside the pool. The brunch was very limited as well.
I had a fantastic experience during my stay at The Thief hotel in Oslo. The hotel's prime location made exploring the city incredibly convenient, and the level of customer service we received was exceptional. However, the only significant downside was the parking situation. While parking is handled by a third party, the garage's condition was disappointing. It was filthy, and regardless of the route, guests were forced to navigate through puddles of water to access the elevator. This aspect was undeniably frustrating. Overall, despite this inconvenience, my stay at The Thief hotel was memorable and enjoyable, and I would highly recommend it to others.
This is a top class hotel that knows everything about providing excellent service. Not cheap, but good value. Staff and facilities were all exceptional. Before during and after our stay.Rom: 5/5
I would highly recommend the Thief. It is a good quality hotel In a wonderful position with well trained and friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, good restaurant and a relaxing and friendly bar. Whats not to love? Our only negative comment would be that the rooms are a little small and there’s a bit too much furniture in them. That said… city hotels usually provide quite small rooms and these weren’t that smallest!!. I’d say that apart from the wonderful staff the biggest selling point is the position of this hotel. We walked to almost every attraction and the number 12 tram stop is so close that you can get to almost anywhere in Oslo very easily and cheaply.
Great hotel in a central location. Beautiful hotel with nice views, great bar with great service and a fire place and a nice breakfast. The staff were very helpful, the rooms impeccable and the bar tender was the best! Not only did she do great drinks but also provided really nice recommendations. Would definitively stay here again.Rom: 5/5
