We decided to dine at this restaurant for lunch while traveling from Rättvik to Stockholm, as it was advertised as an Indian restaurant with a 4.6/5 rating on Google Maps. Upon entering, the ambiance was impressive—clearly themed as an Indian-inspired restaurant. However, it felt more like an Indian-themed setting than an authentic Indian food-serving establishment. A notable feature was a large painting of the cricket legend Imran Khan on the wall.nnWe ordered Chicken Biryani and Seekh Kebab Masala. Unfortunately, there was no lunch buffet available. Each dish cost around 180 SEK, which seemed reasonable at first. The food arrived after about 20 minutes.nnTo our dismay, the Biryani tasted like Butter Chicken Masala mixed with basmati rice and a few dry, fried chicken breast pieces. Being from Kerala, we found it bland, lacking the depth and authentic flavors of real Biryani. The Seekh Kebab Masala was another disappointment, consisting of smoky kebabs dunked in a plain tomato sauce.nnThe rice served alongside was undercooked and had a rubbery texture. When we requested boiled rice as a replacement, the second serving had the same issue.nnOverall, the experience was deeply disappointing. We cannot recommend this place as an Indian restaurant—it does not represent the true taste of Indian cuisine.
We really enjoyed our buffet style meal here at the restaurant. It was a soft introduction to Indian food myself. Not too spicy, just mild and pleasant. Nice atmosphere as well. Prices are reasonable.
I came in with high expectations after reading the reviews, hoping for authentic Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, it fell short. The flavors seemed toned down, perhaps adjusted to suit local preferences, which left the dishes feeling underwhelming. Even the masala chai was disappointing, tasting quite diluted. A letdown overall, especially if you're looking for a more genuine taste of Indian food.
Food was delicious and surprisingly, authentic. We sat outside, it was pleasant and enjoyed our evening.
Just amazing, the interior the service and the food... Wow.nSuch an welcome and loved the food.nThe spice and the taste of everything was lovely.nEven if I dislike cauliflower did I taste the vegan dish and did not get dislike it.nWill visit soon again for an pleasant time.
