Beautifully kept castle, a great adventure. Off season we almost had it to ourselves. Dogs are no problem, which is an absolute bonus.
Nice old castle to visit is good for kids and family. There is great view and things to explore in the ruins of the castle. Kids had a game to find picture of dragon eggs in the castle and win a prize. There was art gallery and some planned activities that one can find out in the websites. Entry and parking is not free. Estimated time spent is about 1 and half hours. No food it allowed in side.
Borgholm Castle on Öland is an impressive historical site worth visiting. The castle ruins are captivating, offering a glimpse into the island's rich history. Free parking is conveniently available. Entry is regulated with the tickets
it's a really cool castle to look at. then there was the leanora trail to walk, can say that the lactic acid got going in the legs and you felt like a really old man
A lovely old castle with an interesting history, and you can visit it with your dog as well. It's well worth a short stop 1-1,5 hours. There is free parking for passenger cars, RVs must pay if they stay overnight. Great views of Borgholm and Öland!
