Brasserie Balzac Restaurang

My place away from home. Every time I travel to Stockholm, I come here. Live in Oslo but being French, with roots in Brussels, I find back that buzz, the food and this vibrant ambiance. I totally recommend!!

Good lunch and dog friendly.nLook no further than a good weekly lunch. They usually have a nice dish for a ok price. I usually go at least 1or 2 a month.

The food was excellent. I had the steak which was very very good and highly recommended. The sauce was a great complement to the steak. The waiter was pleasant and was always topping up water and wine.nIt was quite busy so a little loud. But worth the trip

Hello!nI have been to the brasserie a couple of times and this time it was worse than before due to several reasons:n1. Tables are situated very close and in summer you barely can hear what your friends are saying at the table because of other guests.n2. This time I ordered fish and it was overall ok but I constantly got a bitter/oily/sour feeling and after eating half of it I was already done with my wish to continue eating it. Maybe worth adding more sides there and not to overwhelm it with tomatoes and a bitter taste maybe it’s also my personal preference.n3. Service was good but it feels like the personnel lacked knowledge on the food and drinks the restaurant is offering.nOtherwise, I think it’s a decent place to go to but I wouldn’t pay as much money as they ask for around 300 sek for one dish.

Mussels, råbiff and onion soup were super nice and fresh! We had to wait a very long time to be seated, over an hour.
