Roddarhuset Art Gallery & Cafe

Beautiful place, calm and peaceful away from the crowds. It’s easy accessible by foot from the harbour, just a 10min walk away. You can go swimming close by. We were there in July and had a seat in the sun until around 7pm. Perfect for a drink or some food in the sun. It also has an art gallery. The staff is super friendly, we felt very welcomed. Highly recommend the place if you spent a day in Vaxholm.

We came here because of all of the fantastic reviews. A nicely refurbished place with some cool funky art. Unfortunately the food let it down for us. Extremely expensive for a very basic salad and a sad looking sandwich along with the cheapest tea bags you can get. I wouldn’t come back for this reason

What fantastic service, great food and excellent wine choice. Would highly recommend. Lovely to spend the evening sitting next to the water with beautiful views of the archipelago.

Vaxholm is a calm place, but Roddarhuset Art Gallery brings you to an even deeper calm. Very friendly staff, excellent music choices think a mix of soft Brazilian, French and Spanish, and did I mention an amazing Aperol Spritz? Art gallery is small and sweet, views of the water are wonderful. Definitely worth stopping in!

When everyone shoots over to Hemby Gardens, this is a really lovely spot to watch the world go by, close by parking, a gallery which is nice and a seaside view.
