Dee Dee thaikök - Vaxholm

What a delightful lunch we had today! We opted for their buffet, and while the variety was limited, it was definitely worth the SEK 175. The food was delicious with authentic Thai flavors. Some of our friends chose dishes from the à la carte menu, and the portion sizes were impressively generous. The restaurant is easy to locate, and the staff were friendly and attentive. With summer in full swing here in Sweden, their outdoor seating area provided a very relaxing and pleasant dining experience.

Absolutely blown away by how good the food was here! I ordered the green curry and it was delicious. Swedish food usually isn’t very spicy, but this curry had great heat and depth of flavor. It was honestly some of the better green curry I’ve had. The portion was generous and the curry goes a long way, especially if you order extra rice on the side. The only downside was the chicken. It tasted like it might have been frozen chicken breast that was sliced and grilled, which didn’t quite fit with the rest of the dish. I wish I had ordered it vegetarian instead. Don’t let that deter you though, the curry was really great. The outdoor seating was really pleasant and the service was fantastic. If you’re looking for a bite to eat on Vaxholm, this is it.

We took the bus here after kayaking. Excellent meal, buffet available but we ordered from the menu. Nice outdoor seating. Our food came fast.

Loved sitting outside in the sun — it’s got that summer hangout energy nnPrices are decent for how good the food is, and they’ve got veggie options which is a win. Would totally come back again. Highly recommend this restaurant. Reasonably priced and everything we had was delicious. The pad Thai and fried rice were especially good.
