Very positive experience overall. Two things that need improvement: 1 rooms are cleaned every 4th day which is not a problem per se, bit the floors are rather dusty so maybe an extra round of cleaning would help; 2 you need to book a slot to have breakfast during the weekends, but nobody really checks so the slot booking is an unnecessary step.
Very kind staff, good working wifi, clean room when delivered.Nice breakfast, although the breakfast restaurant is too crowded.nThere is no daily room cleaning and tiding up. Only once in every 4 days! They only provide you with towels and toilet paper ,if you ask by yourself, something inappropriate for a 4 star hotel.nThe room wasn t warm enough,especially at nights, maybe they hadn t activated yet the central heating system. end of September, SwedennOverall, not bad , but quite a moderate staying.
It was my first time in Göteborg and I had the best stay at Comfort hotel.nRebecca at the reception was very nice and kind with me and, since I stayed just for one night, she gave me a room with the best view I have ever had. Just tried this hotel and the Scandic Europa. For the same price Scandic Europa is better. Breakfast has more choices, more fruits, more quality food, and is not so crowded. The room cleaning at Comfort is every 4th day, so no one came during my stay everyday or second day at Scandic, no extra cost. Location is very good, I think this is the best part. Room was smaller for the same price. Therefore, comparing both, you have more for your money with the other hotel.
So, you're driving into Gothenburg. Finding a parking spot in a city is always a bit of a puzzle, and the hotel's own car park is... well, let's just say it's on the small side. You might have to try your luck there, but if it doesn't work out, don't worry. There's a brilliant, massive car park right next to a shopping center just a short walk away. So the parking situation, while a little bit of a bother, turns out to be a piece of cake in the end.nnAnd once you get inside, it’s all rather good. The Comfort Hotel Göteborg is perfectly located. It's basically in the city center, which means you can forget about public transport and just get on with exploring.nnBut the real highlight? The breakfast. It’s a proper, brilliant feast. Not one of those sad, minimalist buffets with rubbery eggs. This is a genuinely good breakfast that sets you up for the whole day.nnSo yes, the parking might be a bit of a little adventure, but the superb location and the fantastic breakfast make this hotel a very clever choice indeed. It’s the kind of place that gets the important things perfectly right.
