First Hotel Stockholm North. A great hotel with a fantastic location near Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Highly recommended. I spent my vacation in the north of Sweden, and since my flight was early in the morning, staying at this hotel saved me from a late-night drive to the airport. I rested perfectly before my departure. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful, included in the room price, but if you prefer to 'do your own cooking, there is a fully equipped kitchen in the room. The room was comfortable and pleasant. The hotel is located literally two steps away from a store belonging to a leading European retail chain. If you zoom in on one of my photos, where the logo is visible - you will solve the riddle of which chain it is. Highly recommended. First Hotel Stockholm North. June 2026.
As me and my partner entered our room we noticed that there were a dirty pair of mens underwear hanging on the glass showerscreen. We informed the reception desk who very kindly arranged for it to be removed. However, the cleaning lady removed the underwear without giving the glass showerscreen a clean. As such we decided to check our bedsheets to make sure we had been given clean sheets. Instead we found some suspicious looking stains on one side of the bed and on the other side of the bed what looks like old rice and hair. I again complained about this and they said they would try and find another room, but as they were fully booked this was not possible. The same cleaning lady then came back and changed the bedsheets. I've never experienced this kind of poor cleaning in a hotel at this price range £168 for x2 nights. The receptionist said that they would offer an upgrade at my next stay. However, there certainly will not be another stay in the future. I would say if you do end up staying here, avoid room 505 as there are also hugh dark stains on the mattresses as well. Again, I was told oh well, it will need deep cleaning.
This was by far one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Our room was extremely small. I stayed with my wife and our daughter, and there was barely enough space to walk once we opened our suitcases. I asked if we could change rooms, but I was told there were no rooms available. Since we were traveling as part of a tour group, we had no choice but to stay.nnThe next evening, when we returned to our room, it had not been cleaned, and the trash bin was overflowing. We had dirty diapers from our baby in the bin, and although I asked the staff to empty the trash, they still didn’t do it. As a result, the room smelled terrible. To make matters worse, the room didn’t even have a window facing outside—it only had a window facing the hotel lobby, so it was also very noisy.nnI definitely would not recommend this place. In my opinion, it doesn’t even meet the standard of a guesthouse, let alone a hotel.
Clean rooms, modern feel but definitely budget. No wardrobe, kettle, or extra pillows. Very small array of TV channels without a functioning EPG, poor WiFi top floor. A plus that pets are allowed. Premises in an office building. A short drive from the city. Good breakfast!
The room was nice. A bit small but you get what you pay for. Very cleanly room. The staff were very friendly. I do wish to point out that when we went down for the breakfast buffet, everything was delicious until I went to bite into the carrot cake they had and noticed a dead spider dangling from it. This ruined the entire experience and made me question the cleanliness of the entire establishment. This was disgusting especially to see after we had eaten the majority of the food!
