Gamla Stan Kolgrill

We recently dined at Gamlastan Kolgrill in Ljusdal and ordered the Special Mix Tray, which included a variety of meats such as Lammracks, Lammfiléspett, Nöt Lamfärsspett, Kycklingspett, Nötsfärsbiffar and Kyckling Vingar with grilled paprika and tomato. The platter was served with tzatziki and muhammara.nThe ambience of the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. The staff were welcoming and attentive.nRegarding the food, the chicken skewers and wings were delightful; they were well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the other meats did not meet our expectations. They lacked the flavour and tenderness we were hoping for, and ultimately, did not win our taste buds.nWe hope to see some improvements in the future, particularly with the meat dishes.

A heaven on earth in a nutshell. Had the best meal since forever. I've been to Turkey in the past and this experience surpassed even the best of restaurants I visited in Istanbul.nI highly recommend this place, it's amazing

From the outside the place looks a bit run down but not at all like that on the inside. The venue is cozy and has a good atmosphere, especially when there are a lot of people there. The service is superb and nicer staff you probably have to look for! The food was absolutely superb and there was really no skimping on the portions! We ate Gamla Stan Special for two and we were full all evening afterwards. If you are in Ljusdal, don't miss the chance to eat at Gamla Stan Kolgrill!

We were three adults and two children, everyone was well fed and very pleasantly surprised by this lunch restaurant.nIn the pictures when you ordered, it looked a bit tame at first, but with the super tasty meze/salad buffet, the lentil soup that is included and the main course, we were more than satisfied.nIn total, the lunch cost SEK 120 each, which included everything above and a drink.nNow we are just passing through, but I dare say that this was one of the best restaurants in many hours.

It wasn't very filling, but it was very tasty!nI wish the toilet in the restaurant was a bit cleaner...
