A real highlight of our vacation!nnFilip took us to a fossil excavation site where we could search for fossils ourselves – sifting, washing, and discovering. It was so much fun, not just for the kids but for adults as well.nnWe found lots of belemnites, including two fully intact ones!nnFilip took plenty of time to explain everything and made the whole experience really special.nnImportant note:nYou need to sign up in advance – all the details are on the website.nnHighly recommended for anyone interested in fossils, nature, or just looking for a unique hands-on activity!
best place if you are interested in fossilsnwe found a lot of it, Filip is an enthusiastic fossil specialist. thanks a lot
Nice little museum with local fossils and Filip's curiosity cabinet.nVery exciting is the fossil hunting at an area 15' away.nA fossil rich sand ,has been dug out and moved in a nice part in the forest, with shade for the sun, seating places and all the equipment you need to find the fossils.nIt is impossible not to find something. Most common finds are : Belmnites, Shark teeths, oysters, turtle fragmentsnand other fossils from the Creteceous period ca. 80M years ago.nFilip is the nicest guy you can imagine, he will explain everything and assisst you all the way informing you about your finds, and having a nice chat with lots of humor and in the end he performs an extra check to see if you missed any fossils.nIt is highly recommended to beginners and pros, and it is also ideal for families.nThank you Filip for a great time !
Interesting to learn some of the history of the area and lots of fun to hunt for fossils. My kids 7, 5 and 2 all enjoyed digging in the dirt and looking for dinosaur bones and shark teeth. Filip is great - very knowledgeable and friendly!
Small but ok if you are waiting for the train...or a bus
