Hotell Björken

It’s an old hotel. It needs a refurbishment but other than that it was worth it. I’d recommend for any traveler on a budget. If you’re a foreigner, you’ll probably receive a ticket for parking even if you paid for the parking. Be careful with parking in front of the hotel.nnHotel staff can’t be held responsible for the parking. Unfortunately that’s not managed by the hotel staff.

Good hotel and staff was friendly. Very quiet and breakfast was nice. Rooms and bathrooms can use an upgrade . In general good hotel near Umea University

Very simple hotel right across the street from the hospital. Great if you're here bc you're visiting someone staying at the hospital. Otherwise I'm not sure regarding the location. Very close to the train station though Umeå Östra which is 1 stop from the main station. Plenty of bus lines it seems. The staff is friendly and the hotel entrance is nice. The food at the restaurant is your average buffet. The rooms and halls are simple, bare and seem a bit older. The single bed was a bit small but the comfort was ok, the bathroom again was simple, but all was clean. Overall great to stay for hospital purposes otherwise I'd pick a different hotel. 3-star hotel delivering 3-star quality.

I lived in this hotel for a while, many yrs ago. At that time I was a medical student taking a trainingship at the Immunology Department. I have good nemories of the hotel's cozy environment and its sweet staff.

Reasonably priced well located hotel. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Easy access to public transport right outside. No tea or coffee in room so you need to buy these or take supplies.
