Omg today 27.07.2024 the a young man who worked at the reception saved the day for me and my two friends. The luggage room at the train station was broken and we could not leave our bags there. and we only had a few hours to visit the city. We entered this hotel and asked for to do us a favor of keeping our bags for a few hours so that they could tour the city. The man was incredibly kind and took our bags, so we enjoyed touring the beautiful city without dragging our bags around , now we are on our way to Oslo, and that guy will definitely remain in our a good memories.nI believe that his service and kindness will always make people happy as he made us happy today.nI hope this hotel knows what a good worker it has in the service. An old hotell in a central part of the city. Walking distance from the railway station. Same owner as fir the hotell on the opposite side of the same road. And during night it's the other hotell that handle the reception.nnThe place is clean. But it needs an upgradiation to get more than 3 stars. The TV showed several channels but over half of them showed an empty screen. You could hang your garnents - but no wardrobe. You could cook water for tea and coffee - but I say add some more types of tea etc.nnBreakfast in the hotell opposite. Food quality was good. But I missed few things. Let's say you want to have an English breakfast - then the right bread to make a tost not there and no toasting option. Egg is there, and bacon - but no baked beens. And so on.nnSo 3 stars and OK for budget tourist- but need upgradiation to get better.

I was traveling with 2 old friends, reliving a trip of Europe we made 50 years ago. This time we focused on Sweden. It was the end of our 2 week tour, returning to Uppsala. We stopped in Örebro för one night, The room was spacious for 3 old men. There was a big bathroom as well, all spotless. We walked to a restaurant for dinner, In the morning we were surprised to have a huge breakfast buffet with traditional Swedish fare, and some scrambled eggs and pastries for me the American.
Cosy hotel in central Örebro, great Italian restaurant in the lobby. So much nicer than the impersonal chain hotels and half the price love it, warmly recommended!
