Great experience as always. Great for small or big families. We came just the 2 of us last year and was great too! Food is fantastic! Highly recommended for all ages. The store is just with unique products
As fans of Ikea, we absolutely enjoyed learning about the history of this iconic brand and its fabulous products. This museum is only for fans of Ikea. Others will tend to get bored. There is a lovely play area for children but in my opinion, it is not a good idea to bring kids to the Ikea museum as they are unlikely to appreciate it. The restaurant has the usual great food. The gift shop has some interesting pieces but we found them expensive. Lockers are provided. There is the Ikea hotel opposite the museum as well as the Ikea store about 500m from it. From the station it is a 5 mins walking distance.
The IKEA Museum offers a fascinating journey through Sweden's agricultural history, economic development, and the evolution of modern production. It skillfully weaves together the story of how Sweden's rural roots influenced the country's economy, shaping a democratic approach to furniture design and accessibility. The exhibits highlight IKEA's role in making stylish, affordable furniture available to the masses, while also showcasing the company's innovations in production and sustainability. A visit provides unique insights into both the history of Swedish industry and the global impact of one of the world’s most recognized brands.
A must-see museum for every design and entrepreneurship enthusiast Both the arrangement of the exhibits from patterned textiles to furniture and the interactive experiences about topics, such as sustainability, offer a seamless experience to the visitor. The leadership aspect is equally covered and the photography exhibition by Leibowitz was offering a global glimpse into other homes. It's definitely worth dedicating a day to see this museum in Älmhult
Good intro to the origins of ikea and some insights into the founder. you can easily spend a few hours here among the exhibits.nnthe nearby hotel is nice, and it gives you free access to the museum.
