I spent two weeks weaving on a fabulous Glimakra loom. The building and facilities are beautiful. There are many looms and workshops organized throughout the year. Plus there is a small weaving museum upstairs. Do not miss an opportunity to take a class here!

Swedish Loom Museum. It was opened in 1995 by a non-profit association. The museum has a permanent exhibition of looms and tools and an extensive library of textile books. In connection with the textile exhibitions, activities and lectures are arranged. The Swedish Loom Museum is a cultural association in Östra Göinge municipality and has been part of the group of working life museums in Sweden since 2004. 8-10 exhibitions of textile art and traditional crafts are arranged annually with an emphasis on hand weaving. Exhibitions of art and other crafts are also shown in the Gallery Hyttmästaren.
As a course participant, you will be greeted by well-maintained premises and equipment that is well taken care of.nnThe museum is well worth a visit for anyone interested in textiles. If you are interested in weaving, the museum is of course of extra great interest.
