Quiet place among the stones that mark the outer walls of the church. Here you can stop for a while and listen to the creation. Nice for a baby shower in the summer.
Kämpinge church was built in the 15th century, when the village got the financial resources it needed thanks to the herring fishery. When the village became increasingly poor as the herring fishing declined, the church fell into disrepair, and was buried in flying sand. At this time the church no longer had a priest. The last one was called Hans Nielson, was from Maglarp, and is said to have constantly complained about the lack of church interest of the Kämping residents. The Danish king Christian IV decided on November 5, 1632 that the church would be demolished and when this happened the congregation/parish became Räng's parish/parish.
Peaceful. Lovely place for a wedding or christening, if you live nearby.
