Kisa Wärdshus & Hotell HB

Great place at very reasonable prices. The room was clean, well-maintained and the bathroom was nice and had a modern standard. The room was classic and romantic, with a great atmosphere harkening back to the hotel's origin a long time ago. The water pressure was excellent, the bed great and the view from the window very nice. I spent a relaxing night and had an excellent breakfast.nnThe staff was friendly and service-minded in a way that felt like a throwback to the early 1900s when millionaries gave generous tips at hotels. I felt quite pampered.nnI can warmly recommend this place should you pass by.nnPhotos are from the morning, thus unmade bed etc, and does not reflect the standard at which I arrived.

Love it. Lovely wärdshus and the staff and the shop is fantastic. Only thing is in the room for singel person it sayes twinbed...well my bed is very small.nBut the rest charming. Breakfast great. So many plus.

Nice quaint hotel. The host is extremely friendly and wholesome. We called very late in the evening and he took the extra trouble to drive to the hotel and give us a room. We were also allowed to pick our check-out time. The morning buffet was also great and there was even delicious local milk. A very positive experience, greetings from Germany :

Just returned from 16 days in Scandinavia. We stayed at the Kisa Wardshus for two nights. This was by far our best hotel stay. We loved the place, but mostly the hospitality of Andreas. He was the best host in all of my travels so far probably in my life! Had the best breakfast during our trip and he even booked train tickets and printed tour tickets for one of our cruise excursions later in our trip. Best of all, I left my carry on in the lobby and he delivered it to me at the Kisa train stop. They are currently renovating the downstairs to include a beer garden/pub. The garden outside was beautiful and the basement will make a great place to enjoy a drink. This would be a great addition to the town since we had a beer at the pizza place one evening with not so great atmosphere. The area around Kisa is so pretty. Nice get away from Stockholm.

Small and cosy in a small town. The rooms vary in size and looks. The people who run this place has good ambitions. That goes a long way!
