A medium-sized ring fort with visible remains of walls, situated in a large clearing in the forest. There is also a nature reserve nearby.
One of Öland's several remains of defensive castles. Most of it has been demolished of course, but you can still make out the walls and gate. After all, it has been there for 1500 years or so. It requires a slightly longer walk from where you dare to park your car so that it does not get in the way of agricultural traffic. By bike, there is no major problem getting there. Beautiful to reach the clearing where the castle is located. Bring a picnic basket.
The castle is ruined but the nature is beautiful. A paradise for butterflies, bumblebees and other insects. Beautiful forest path on the way there. A place to breathe.
