Globalister, denying that there exists an explicit genuine Swedish culture, I insist to visit Stensjö by Stonelake village. This farming tiny village dates back to the 13th century, and is left untouched for at least the latest 100 years. I am also from the Småland landscape myself, and everything reminds me of when I was a young child. This is a must if you want to experience Småland with its poor but proud farmers.
An absolutely magical place. Perfect to stroll around the very easy and pleasant hikes, and later stop by the café to have some coffee, lemonade, blueberry pie my favourite, cinnamon bun and chocolate cake!
Nice little cultural preservation of a Swedish village of 18-19 centuries.nThe place is well maintained and offers several walking routes
You would like to know what rural life in Sweden was like? Then Stensjö by is the right place for you. Many explanations, various things to try, beautiful landscape to explore. Plus a summer café with some sweet bites.
Beautiful little place! I felt like a little child, again!
