Mörrum River Residences

The accommodation is newly renovated and was clean when we where there.. however..nnWe booked a 28m2 room for two nights with kingsize bed. An hour before our arrival we received a message our room had been upgrade. When we entered the room we saw a small bed for one person and a folding bed. NO kingsize bed. We measured the room, which was actually smaller than the room we ordered 27m2. Hence, I have no clue where any upgrade was to be found.nnAfter a few attempts to contact the owner there is NO reception, he told us that there was no other room available with kingsize bed. He was able to add another bed not sure where, but nothing else. But could also cancel the accommodation at no cost. There were no other hotels available though within an hour drive and certainly not within hours driving at a regular price.nWe contacted check24 who had to contact booking.com. And after multiple calls back and forth, booking.com refunded us a very small ! part of the initial room price.nnIn all.n- A kingsize bed does NOT equal a small bed and a folding bed.n- Extremely bad communication with the owner only one of 10 attempts were picked upbooking.com could not reach the owner eithern- An upgrade which was rather a downgrade of what we ordered.n- Wifi did not work connection to the router, yes but not from the router to the internet

Great place and very nice staff. The hotel's location is amazing, the building is so stylish and it is very close to the river and to the city center! We had a great time there. I highly recommended it!

Quiet place for a one night stop. Breakfast was tasty!

The hotel is newly renovated, but they have chosen to save part of the building's history, which goes well with each other.nnThe room was large and good, but the beds were a bit small and I couldn't move them together because the bedside table was screwed into the wall seems to be different from room to room. It is also quite responsive, especially from the corridor into the room, so if you are a person who likes to sleep in, you will possibly be woken up by neighbors hungry for breakfast.nnWhen you book try to get a room facing the river as the alternative is a very large window facing the paved parking lot.nnBreakfast is difficult to judge because everyone has different ideas about what they want to see on the table. I thought the range was quite adequate for the price I paid for stays and the food tasted exactly as you thought it should taste.nnI've stayed in both worse and better places but I think I got what I paid for and I don't demand more than that.

Well-located and newly renovated hotel right next to the river where you can sit on the restaurant balcony and enjoy the peace and quiet right above the river that flows calmly under your feet. Very relaxing with the sound and view of the river. The building was previously used to smoke salmon, among other things.nOur room faced the river and with the window open at night we could also enjoy the sound.nThey lacked alcohol rights. The restaurant is not open in the usual way but you can pre-order, for example, a salmon plate and then it works more as usual. But you need to be out in good time.nWe chose the salmon plate which was very good and nicely laid out.nVery friendly staff and during our visit the receptionist spoke English and could speak helpful Swedish. Good with parking in the hotel area.nThe room was good but lacked a TV. Otherwise we were very satisfied with the room.
