Wanås Restaurant Hotel

I want to desperately say this is 5 start but I can only give it 4. It's a lovely hotel with modern rooms, great art, great nature, and great food.nnRooms are excellent. Everything is modern. Service is good. They even have towel warmers and modern showers. However they don't have AC and the biggest reason for 4 stars is the bugs. They are on an organic farm so there are tons of manure attracting flies. Those flies and mosquitos get in your room and them bite you. Otherwise fabulous rooms.nnArt is great. The art walk, the museums, the underground tunnel. You simply won't get bored here.nnThe restaurant is amazing too. The castle is cool to look at. There's a ton of history here too.

An absolute wonderful and stylish boutique hotel with lots of iconic art and Nordic design interior - combined with an excellent restaurant, serving organic and ”real” food. Situated next to a beautiful art-park. A tre gem - worth a trip.

A fantastically beautiful place and facility as taken from a fairy tale world. The hotel part is luxurious and comfortable. However, it was too cold and draughty for my taste. Had needed an extra blanket which was not within reach. Also needed a shoe horn with a long handle due to back problems. The restaurant served a 4-course menu of very high class. All dishes were cooked to perfection with great attention to detail where all components made sense and enhanced the whole. As a regular diner, I think the restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star.

Traveled to Wanås with friends and had a great experience. The hotel has a nice lounge with a fireplace where we had a pre-drink before dinner which was served in the restaurant. The food was incredibly well prepared with fine ingredients. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in Scandinavian style with fine art elements. The place itself with nature and the art park is both calming and inspiring. Perfect weekend getaway!
