Not often that you find small, charming boutique hotels in Sweden. That's why I got so pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Stora Hotellet in Osby. The customer service was great from the second they took my reservation until I checked out. Special thanks to Anneli for her hospitality. Highly recommended place to stay at when in northern Skåne.
Seemingly great place, but not great maintenance these days.nHad some spiders webs in the room and it was not too clean, but otherwise the standard was very high. I think this might be due to corona, but I cannot say since I have only been here once.nÅhus seem to be a bit of a gem.
I arrived on Sunday around 21.15, there was no one at the reception and the doors were closed, so i couldnt get in. I travelled all the way from the Netherlands. Luckely there was a phonenumber on the mIaindoor that I dialed, and they gave me the door access code and told me my key is in my room. Room was looking fine, but the pillows were dirty, there were some hairs on it, which is gross... And the bed is not comfortable.
2 stars maximum- this hotel has very small single rooms, claustrophobic I would say, also no lift. I can't understand how come it got 4 stars. There is even no wardrobe in the room. Bathroom is ok, restaurant and breakfast though very basic are ok as well. Location is good, close to station and close to supermarkets. Also nice lake in the nearby- some benches to seat and drink/eat your own food, however Osby itself is a sleepy town. No leisure at all there. I think hotel restaurant is the only place open after 8 pm.
Nice hotel very close to the Ösby train station. Some single room are too small. Restaurant has few but good options..go for the burger and avoid lasagna it has a strange white foam on it.
