Restaurang Bakgatan

The streak tartare was outstanding! The salmon was very well executed too. Looking forward to going there again soon and explore the short but smart menu further main courses: two meat, one fish, one veg - all you need!. Friendly staff, great atmosphere.

If things could get wrong, they surely did exactly that on a busy Sat. night at Bakgatan, Vadstena 15, last week.nNoise level beggars belief, and although we had pre-booked a table, space to get around the meal and drink and table and chairs and other guests, was minimal.nThe over-enthusiastic waiter was more dominant than helpful. We paid a hefty bill for frugal portions - half of them less than lukewarm - and had to be reheated.nThe Creme Brûlée-afters turned out to resemble some glorified semolina porridge which we sent back to the kitchen with ample opinions and recommendations - and refused to pay for.nWe took the coffees elsewhere.nAll in all - a meal and an evening we will not forget.

Superb food, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for more!

We arrived at 20.05 and the kitchen was already close, this wasn't written in any place, better to call before and ask.

Now it's open for lunch too!!nI had a nice and tasty meal and can really recommend the restaurant. It's cozy and now the patio in the inner courtyard is updated and nice. Open for lunch 11:30-14:30 and then they open at 17 for dinner in the evening.
