Sjövallen Badplats

Sjövallens sports field, next door to Sjövallens Badplats, is a rather unique and odd facility. It is nestled in a valley between the bathing area and Hällevadsholms station and is a nice and tight story. On one short side there is a service building with a kiosk, changing rooms and toilets. In the middle of the western long side there is an odd wooden stand. Between the stand and the football field itself there is a road. Sjövallen has plenty of parking spaces.

We stayed here for one night. Beautiful location. Sanitary facilities and kitchen use are available. The latrine emptying was a bit of an adventure, but otherwise okay. Fresh water and electricity were included in the price of 200 SEK.nnSwimming in the lake was not possible due to blue-green algae. The warning about the algae bloom wasn't very clearly displayed. We were thankfully alerted to this by other campers.

What a surprise! The proceeds from the camping pitch go to the local sports club. Clean restrooms, electricity, a beautiful view, a lovely swimming lake with jetties, a diving board, and girls playing soccer who are even winning.

The payment system is complicated; if you don't want to give out your mobile number and you pay in cash, you won't get the code for the building with the showers. The moped racers are still around, and trains pass very close by. There is a nice, open-air toilet, though the accessible one is a kind of pit latrine, but it's clean. The lake is great, but unfortunately, it's currently closed due to an algae bloom. The sports club is raising money here for a new clubhouse. All in all, it's still a nice place.

Really nice location on the campsite and the swimming area was perfect with floating docks and diving towers.
