STF Göteborg/Stigbergslidens Vandrarhem

Stayed in mixed dorm and loved it. Cleanliness of both the room and toilets was excellent. I'm new to hostelling and after a bad first impression of my first hostel a few days prior, this one was restored my interest in staying in them! If I return to Gothenburg I'll book here again

The hostel itself is immaculate, but they have cameras everywhere, and in the morning in the café the staff reviews the prior days footage and gossips about it and the guests. Me and my gf stayed for a few days and we saw this one more than one occasion we both speak Swedish, and it felt like such a breach of privacy that what would have been a 5 star rating had to be adjusted down to a 2- which is a testament to just how high quality this hostel keeps in all other respects. But seriously, sitting around and checking security footage and gossiping about it like its some sort of cheap reality drama is just so creepy and violating. The people working here should feel deeply ashamed.

I had a fantastic stay at this property! It's very cozy and just 15 minutes from the center, making it super convenient. The rooms are clean, and the kitchen is well equipped, perfect for preparing meals. The lounge room and garden are both very nice and relaxing, great for unwinding after a long day.nnHanna at reception was amazing—when I arrived soaked from driving several hours in the rain, she was incredibly helpful and gave me access to the facilities for a hot shower, even before check-in time.nnAs a solo traveler, I also loved that I got the chance to meet new friends during my stay, which was a huge plus. Highly recommended!

Very nice hostel for the price! During my stay it was always clean. The toilets are nice because they are in a proper room, not stalls. The staff was also very kind
