Stora Salen

Up on Kinnekulle one kilometer southwest of the lookout tower is a place called Stora Salen. Today, Stora Salen is a well-visited place both summer and winter, the scenic surroundings and the wonderful view towards Kålland over Vänern are things that attract you to visit this place.nnStora Salen is a perfect place for a picnic in the green. When the well-visited Kinnekulleknallen Night Walk goes around the Hill in early summer, Stora Salen is a place where everyone stops for a while and has coffee and chats before the walk continues down towards the Quarry. During the winter, Stora Salen transforms into a paradise for everyone who likes fast-paced rides. Here there are toboggan runs for both the daring and the more cautious. Kinnekulle's ski track, which is groomed when there is enough snow, also goes past Stora Salen.

From the parking lot, you have to walk about a kilometer to get there. Nice tobogganing slopes with some trees and bushes, but there are empty areas suitable for tobogganing for smaller children as well.

The main hall at Kinnekulle - a place to gather energy. Or, to get rid of energy at. An open air spot on Blommande berg - with a view of Kinneviken, Kållandsö and Dalbosjön. A must experience. Unbelievably beautiful!
