Very interesting place ! Not only the beautiful church, but especially the special made roof on top of the hill covering the ruins of a church out of Iron Age / Viking age before the monks came and remains of people from that period, especially Kata an important woman.
Great historical place. An impressive church and the ruins from the Abbey ate also nice. Free admission and possibility for a guided tour which is recommended.
Very unique church at least in my church-visiting-experience. Opportunity to read through the history of the place and to enjoy the wonderful view of the site.nI also recommend walking 500m towards Gudhem following the pilgrimsled. Here you will find an old limestone mine and a beautiful stream of water in plateaus differing in level.
Interesting historical important church and ruins. The new Kata homestead exhibit dates back to the Viking era. Very well worth a visit.
Beautiful place! Well kept ruins and a lot of information about the history. Free entrance.
