A beautiful and atmospheric church with an equally splendid churchyard. Very close to the bustling city but still surrounded by a rural setting.
A very beautiful church in a rural setting but still close to the city.
Beautiful place, feels like the edge of Uppsala
Nice atmosphere, bid parking lot
Vaksala Church is a medieval Lutheran temple Catholic for the first 300 years of its existence from the 12th century, in Romanesque and, later, Gothic style. It is located in the university city of Uppsala and depends on the Church of Sweden Protestant. Its tower is 76 meters.nThis medieval temple has an altar brought from Antwerp Belgium in 1510, paintings from the 15th century many already damaged by time, but the outlines are still visible, pulpit from 1795 and coat of arms of extinct families. Plus, it has Viking runestones inside and outside.
