This church is a real gem in terms of architecture. Also, is the first building that catches your eye when you enter Sigtuna. Once you step inside, you are impressed by the greatness of the construction. The stained-glass windows are very beautiful.nWhen we entered, a lady was doing activities with a child so I think this church is a place in the heart of a community that takes care of their own.
The Church of St. Mary in Sigtuna is a true gem of Scandinavian architecture! Its brick facade and Gothic interior impress with their simplicity and austere beauty. This place exudes history, being one of the oldest preserved churches in Sweden. Walking through its interior, you can feel the spirit of the Middle Ages and admire the craftsmanship of the old builders. It's an ideal place for a moment of reflection and contemplation, as well as a must-see for history and architecture enthusiasts
Mariakyrkan in Sigtuna is a peaceful and old church from the 1200s, with beautiful red brick walls and tall arches. It’s quiet inside and great for sitting and thinking. The church is still used today and feels full of history. A nice place to visit if you enjoy calm spots and old buildings.
The park's lush greenery and well-maintained pathways create a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll, a relaxing picnic, or simply unwinding amidst nature. The view of the Mariakyrkan church's centuries-old architecture adds a unique touch, making the park truly special.
Sigtuna has an important place in Sweden's early history. It is the oldest town in Sweden, having been founded in 980.
