Visit Dalsland Center

Lovely little place to hang out when visiting the canal.

Amazing place with the amazing architecture of canals that brings an entire boat decent sized from lake up above to a lake down below. You will see a series of canals in the form of steps and its a must see, surely an architecture marvel. And it has everything happening there, there is waterway for boats, train line for train which is raised for boats to pass below it, road bridge for vehicles to go through. You also get a nice view besides the lake and a great ice-cream parlour.

Nice area to relax by the lake and Dalsland canalnActive lock system so interesting to watch the boats and canoes coming through.

Must visit this place if it is not too much of a deviation. Nice explanation of the efforts and the historical importance of this place. Nice place too eat. Buy fresh fish. Sometimes there is music. I think that this is one of the best places to visit within 100 km radius.
