My wife and I recently dined here and we were thoroughly impressed. As Singaporeans, we've experienced many Indian cuisines and this restaurant definitely stood out. We ordered the Shahi Korma Madras, Butter Chicken Medium, and Garlic Naan, all of which were fantastic. The dishes were filled with authentic flavors, though I think the Shahi Korma Madras might be too spicy for locals - it was very enjoyable for our Southeast Asian palates. The meat was tender and cooked well too. Service was friendly and attentive, though slightly on the slower side. However, this minor delay was overshadowed by the quality of the food and the ambience of the restaurant. While I noticed some people mentioning the prices, it's important to remember that dining in Norway tends to be expensive across the board. Given the quality of the dishes, I found the experience well worth it. Overall, we enjoyed our meal tremendously and would recommend.
The food portion is little compared to other indian restaurants. Also you pay extra for rice which is for free in other restaurants in the town. The food tastes very good, one of my favorites. The waiter is helpful but not kind. He can smile at least, he looked a bit annoyed when we asked for things. Also btw the price is more compared to the others indian restaurants. They have good vegan options which is my favorite thing. Anyway, 7/10 :
While we didn’t have very high expectations from Indian food in Bergen, this one looked promising from the photos and website. Far from it. The food was the worst I have eaten. Fancy presentation does not equal good food and does not compensate for rude service. We made a big order and every thing was sub par. We ordered medium spicy but even as an Indian who is very used to the spices, the level of chillies was inedible. Raw undercooked dal is not acceptable anywhere. The butter chicken is nothing like butter chicken. The servers do not know the portion sizes and don’t even bother to help with information when asked. For the price and given the quality of food, would not recommend it to anyone.
Had a great experience dining at this Indian restaurant. Food n service was good. The dishes and its portions was good. The only problem was to find the restaurant and its location. Better, bigger and more signs should be the solution here.
Bestilte her om dagen, mai 2024, mixed curry styrke Madras på takeaway appen til Foodora. Ville gjerne ha en litt variert rett med både kylling og kjøtt etc. Kanskje best å være forsiktig på styrke for det var alvorlig HOT! Men også dødsgodt med en kald pils, raita mild slags agurk/rømme mix naan m hvitløk, pluss litt rømme i et beger. jeg spurte å få litt rømme ved siden pga skeptisk på styrken Bestilte ekstra ris også for å spare litt til middag dagen etter. Det ble frokosten, lol Med alt det der snakker vi MYE mat og MYE smak. Jeg bare elsker indisk mat og kunne spist der hver deg om ikke det var såpass kostbart. Regningen ble ca 440 inkl levering, som var ganske kjapp. Fantastisk godt, veldig sterkt ikke bestill ekstra sterkt som meg, nydelige smaksblandinger med raita, naanbrød og matretten. Veldig god ris. Namnam!
Indian food does not taste like this- undercooked Dal, spicy Chanas and pathetic butter chicken. The staff is rude, knows nothing about Indian food or the dishes on their menu. The food is over priced. The places is completely avoidableMat: 1/5
We made a huge order yesterday and quite honestly I have never had so many dishes that look the same! Same colour same texture..was so disappointed. It certainly does not look like the photos on your website. The flavours are certainly not Indian... and so expensive as well!!!Mat: 1/5
Bestilte via Foodora, men er ganske sikker på att det er restaurant som leverer selv. Det er ikke noe problem. Det som er problemet derimot, er att når sjåfør ankom, prøvde han å rekruttere til en facebook side bestående av pirat-taxi drift. Ikke bra.Mat: 3/5
Delicious food. The Paneer Makhani and Aloo Chat were very flavorful; I ordered them Madras style. I love the hot naan fresh out of the tandoor. The kitchen is open to the restaurant and you can see the chefs preparing your meal. Came here on a Friday evening at about 8pm. I came back again the next day at 9pm and had a similarly good experience. It appears that the kitchen closes at 9:30pm so plan to arrive by 9:00pm. Plenty of seating and not too noisy good ambiance. Prices are reasonable, too. I never thought I'd find such good Indian food in Norway but this is a hidden gem. Alternativer for vegetarianere: Vegetarian page in the menu. Some items can be made vegan.
Our craving for home style Indian food brought us to this place , it was also at a walking distance from our hotel. The restaurant has formal ambiance , it’s kind of hidden in the basement, had to look around to locate it . We ordered onion pakoras , it was so bad , undercooked and oily , their Daal was ok , garlic naan were so thick and they didn’t cut them in half , worst was the masala paneer , it was spoilt , we complained about it but they said that it was alright , we started eating it again but it was indeed spoilt or stale , the server said he can take it back , we put all that we had in our plates back into the dish , later on when we paid , they had charged us for that spoilt paneer too . We being the vegetarians, eat Paneer almost everyday and can very well distinguish between good and bad food. We could’ve asked them right then , but decided not to argue with them when they aren’t ready to accept . I hope the owner notices this feedback and pays attention to his kitchen , disappointing experience.
