Location cannot be beat. Incredibly convenient to the train station, Munch Museum, Opera House, and floating saunas on the fjord. Rooms are tight, but workable. Nice view of the fjord from the ones facing the water. Included breakfast at the Egon Restaurant is a great breakfast buffet.
We were upgraded to a suite and it was so nice. So spacious and comfortable with a mini fridge and a safe. Two things were not good. One the shower screen didn’t have any seal at the bottom. So every time we had showers there was a lake in the bathroom and that was dangerous. Also, they didn’t too up tea or coffee and no herbal or decaf teas/ coffee. Lastly, the last day, cleaner threw away my medicine. I put them in a little cup. They remained there throughout our stay until the last day before we left. Good job we were returning the next job. So my advice is to keep them in your cabin or even in the safe. Location is brilliant very central and close to transportation and to few landmarks that are within a fairly walking distance. If your time is limited, get the two day hop on hop off bus pass and stop at every stop. However, the palace, library, opera, cathedral and city hall are very close by. Oslo is amazing. We loved it.
Nice place to stay. Great location. Easy access from the train station. Fabulous staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are cozy. Perfect for a trip to Oslo. Breakfast was excellent. Fremkommelighet til fots: Many attractions are within a 15 to 20 minute walk. Alternatively the metro is closed by, with tram and bus stops right outside.
Rooms were not cleaned to a proper standard. There was zero soap in the hand soap dispenser and the mattress on the pull out was stained so we opted to combine people in other beds to avoid it. Mattresses were very soft and rooms were very small. For the price one would expect a bit better. Location was great and staff was all very friendly
Compared to hotels in the US, this isn't a very good quality hotel. The rooms are small, there is no fridge, there is no lock for the door internally and no AC control which is a problem when it feels too warm inside and you can't open windows. It has free breakfast at the restaurant right next to it, which had great food in general albeit a bit on the pricey side for lunch and dinner, but the breakfast buffet has very few tables close by, making it that I had to make three trips before even starting to eat forget seconds which was not great, especially having to carry my coffee at such a distance. Fortunately right in the mall was a great bakery and I would just get some cold coffee from the grocery store right across and have something from the bakery for breakfast. They come to clean the room daily, which is a lot more than US hotels which come by every 3 days and your room is always full of trash with those little bins that fit 1 can and are full. It also had a weird quirk when locking the door that it won't lock for 45 seconds which when asked I was told it's for fire safety.. so I guess if you are running for your life cause of a fire but realize you forgot your phone inside you can go back and get it? However the big sell is the location. Right on Oslo Central station with convenient access to all trains and subway stations and a lot of stores the market meeting my favorite. The reception area is also amazing as it looks like a nice coffee house you can chill at and they even have a bar so you can get a drink and relax So if it were for the hotel alone, it wouldn't be my first choice, but the convenience of it with the central station, location and stores nearby, make it a great option. Absolutely wonderful! We needed a large family room for our family of four and the front desk was very accommodating- Aurora was very sweet and kind and took great care of us so ask for her! Breakfast was great included, and the room is very central in Oslo’s centre, right by train station, shopping street, short walk from opera house, parliament, museums and everything! Wonderful experience for our fam! :
Overall is nice hotel. The location is linked to the central station. Two things can be better during my stay for 3 nights. First is the bed matter is too too too soft. I even slept on the floor for 2nd and 3rd night. Second is they service the same breakfast every single day but it’s yummy I have to say.Rom: 2/5
Kom veldig tidlig og var heldig å få rom selvom vi var flere timer fortidlig. Super service, flott rom med gode senger og skikkelige puter. Beliggenheten kan jo ikke være bedre til vårt formål med oppholdet.Rom: 5/5
Det luktet kloak i resepsjonen Jeg booket stort rom men fikk et lite. Når jeg spør om å få stor romme sier jobbkaren at det er fullt. Dyrt og ekkelt. Styr unna. Velg heller Clarion Hotel the HubRom: 1/5
Location is right next to the station and inside a shopping mall. It is convenient. Superior room is good size for 4 people. Receptionist are friendly. However the cleanliness of the room is poor. Spoon, food, packaging from previous guests were left in the fridge and cupboard. Difficult to rate given it failed the fundamental requirement.
