Enjoyed our meals very much. So nice to eat vegan without worry. Presentation was beautiful. Taste was good but the "salmon" really didn't have much flavor and could have used more seasoning. The Risotto was much better. I would definitely go back.
Lovely vegan find in Bergen, it’s quite small inside so I’d recommend booking ahead to be sure you get a space. For starter we had the salmon ceviche and the fish soup. Would highly recommend the fish soup, great flavour and great value. Salmon ceviche was decent, the fake salmon is good but gets a little lost with the mango and other salad pieces. For main we had the salmon fillet and the pulled pork burger. Fillet itself was nice but it was a bit disappointing the “salmon” for the main was different to the “salmon” for the starter it’s tofu in the main, carrot in the starter. The vegetables were also unfortunately cold which was a shame. Pulled pork burger had good flavour but is lentils so isn’t really pulled pork texture, flavour is great though. For desert we had a cheesecake which was nice, not too heavy. Overall a good experience, nice food, nice service, reasonably priced for Bergen. 4* as opposed to 5* as food didn’t blow us away but I’d still definitely recommend if you’re in Bergen as a vegan or want to try vegan food, definitely get the fish soup!
I am blown away by our creative, delicious and nutritious lunch at Vegan Vacation! We were treated with such hospitality by Chef Victor and even enjoyed gratis homemade chocolate truffles for dessert. The dishes were exceptional in every way from the taste to presentation. I loved my vegan “smoked salmon” made from carrots and flavored by the sea. My husband loved his gluten free quiche with salad and fries. We also shared the inventive vegan cheese starter plate, which came with bread, olives and almonds. We paid $70 USD for the three course gourmet meal and enjoyed a lovely windows seat table. The perfect lunch in Bergen!
The food creations I ate were truly art pieces and tasted delicious. I had the fennel and mushroom quiche and mango and coconut cheesecake. Both were amazing and no cheese and eggs in sight. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere as there are only 6 large tables. Lovely owner that clearly cares about providing great tasting and ethical food. Also felt fine having a table by myself.
This place was amazing! The "salmon" ceviche tasted the closest vegan replacement I have ever had. The risotto was fantastic and a great gluten free option. The burger was also great according to my husband.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. A low-key, sweet, and cozy place by Bryggen. The service was so attentive and lovely that we felt like we got sprinkles of love on our food! The dining experience here left us a very speical memory in Bergen. Absolutely recommended for anyone visiting Bergen. And if you are new to vegan food, this would be a great place to try it out.
Delicious Sunday lunch at Vegan Vacation today. Had the Mexican burger which came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! They make their own cheese which was sublime. The pico de gallo had a lovely kick from jalapeños, worth coming here for the burgers! Had a Snickers cake as well as vegan desserts are worth the indulgence *drool* Service was lovely, very much recommend a visit! Spesielle kostholdsbehov: Lists all allergens on the menu and perfect for a dairy allergy being vegan!
Super place for vegans! Pizza's, Burgers, soups, salads and more on the menu. I loved the Mr. Hot pizza actually quite hot!! Prices are fine for Norwegian standards. Alternativer for vegetarianere: Everything is vegan!
Absolutely incredible meal - and we're not even vegan! We had the phenomenal raw carrot pasta and sweet potato and black bean burger. Both were absolutely fantastic! The bread, sauces and spices perfectly paired with the ingredients. Fresh, bright and tasty. Best meal in Norway during our two week vacation around Vestland.
Delicious, fresh flavoured vegan food. Highly recommend. We had the Mr Hot Pizza, and Coconut Curry Ramen. Spesielle kostholdsbehov: Vegan restaurant.
