I tried the Hotpot dumplings which were very delicious. I chose mixed fillings which come with chicken, beef and vegan options i think. They were all tasty. The dumpling wrapper is not very thin but not thick at all so in between. It says its low spice but for a person who can’t handle spice I would say it is quite spicy but I really enjoyed the heat. Since this is a well known restaurant, it gets busy and the wait time is a lot like 20-30 minutes which is kind of a dealbreaker. I would say I enjoyed the meal but would not wait again for it.
The food was decent overall. The dumplings were good. It had lots of stuffing and the thickness of the skin was just good. The noodles was just as expected. Not surprisingly good or bad. We expected it to be spicy as it had a word “hot” in it’s name but it wasn’t spicy. The fried duck was really really good! It was really crispy outside and really soft inside.nWe went to the restaurant around 17:30 and it was 1/3 full but like 10 mins after we got in, it was packed and some had to wait for the seats. The downside is that the food takes some time to be prepared so I would recommend waiting for the seats after ordering your food.
A great place to come for comfort food!nnWe tried a variety of the courses with friends and each served into our own personal bowls. My favorite were the beef dumplings with the broth, but the noodle dish we got were a big hit in our party as well. The wonton soup was good too! Our least favored was the noodle soup, but that wasn't bad just not as good.nnThe place itself is small and very packed. Getting a table is a matter of luck. The staff works great in such an intense environment though!
Went there one afternoon and left simply amazed.nnIt’s a small place with limited seating, so there’s no clear system when it comes to queues. You should expect a wait at almost any time, but you might also get lucky and find a table right away. Typically, you order first and then get shown to your table.nnThe food is incredibly authentic, true to its roots, and absolutely delicious. Most people come for the hot pot dumplings, which are outstanding, but don’t hesitate to try the main dishes as well — the Kung Pao, for example, is easily one of the best I’ve ever had.nnA nice touch: soup is complimentary with any order, and tap water is provided for free.nnHighly recommended!
Vegan was good. We took spenat and tofu hot pot which was best. Mapu tofu which was good. And Sichuan tofu that was ok. You can bring dog with you
